The idea today was to beat my last time on the Bolinas Ridge from Sir Francis Drake Blvd to Bolinas-Fairfax Road and back. I got a late start so I could do that without having to hike in the direct sun.

As usual, the best part of the hike is the stretch through the Redwoods. Not that the initial gradual hike up to the Redwoods is the bad part of the hike. There is no bad part of the hike. The hike has pastoral views and a view of the Point Reyes ridge line, cool Redwoods, and going down to Bolinas-Fairfax, views of Bolinas and the Pacific. You can't go wrong on the hike.
