reaping what I sowed

less is a bore. first 70 mile week ✅
pfitz T-6: 22 LR. first 15 LR goal pace, last 7 general aerobic pace*

* I was aerobically comfortable the entire way, but at mile 15 I twisted my ankle (once again in south willyb…) & I considered stopping the run. maybe imprudent, but I was really committed to hitting 70 this week, so I hobbled along for the last 7 miles. at first the ankle felt terrrrrible & I felt I was on the edge of doing more harm than good, but eventually I settled into a rhythm & it didn’t hurt as much. we’ll see how wise of a decision this was ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I’m confident I could’ve held ~6:55-7:05 min/mi pace which I was averaging up until mile 15 through all 22 if I hadn’t had rolled the ankle. 

either way, big weekly mileage milestone hit today, & a huge confidence boost — fitness is there, I just need to stay injury free & Vancouver will fall into place. these flare ups have been acute incidents, not overuse injuries, so that’s also a positive signal. please running gods spare me over next 6 weeks. 

also first time using new insta360 go 3s camera. was wearing clip on hat brim — p cool, excited to use during a race
