Day 156 ski snowshoe, day 79 alpine, day 21 Taos alpine-If this is my final downhill ski day of the 2024-25 season, it was an awesome way to end the lift served portion of the snow sports season!  Winter like weather, winter like snow on the hike to steeps at 12,000 feet. 
 Skied 10 ridge runs + 4 groomer runs + 6 mogul runs from the lift.  Skied 7 West Basin laps + 3 Hiline laps. Official snow report this am was 4" new snow.   Initially I thought this ski day might be like last Sunday, some ice bump skiing and skiing mostly groomers.  On the lower mountain, there was 1-2" of new snow.   After a couple warm up groomer runs, rode up chair 2.  There was 6"+ of new snow on the upper mountain.    Skied a couple runs down Reforma and the adjacent tree line.   Then skied a Hiline lap in the trees skier's right of Billy Sol + 2 West Basin laps on West Blitz and Stauffenberg.   Nice soft turns on the West Basin laps+ the Hiline lap.   East winds with this storm made for challenging turns on the Hiline laps.  Didn't let that spoil my fun and it was a way better downhill ski day compared to last Sunday.   Did 2 more Hiline runs + 3 more West Basin Runs in the afternoon.   Glad I only did 1 run off the Peak-ice bumps mixed with rocks.   The ridge laps were more enjoyable.
