Woke up early around 5:30, ate breakfast, packed up and hit trail almost first out but beaten by Komerican. Super cool dude. Faster than he thinks. Easy going beautiful day down the hill to Davenport Gap. Met Firewalker the ridge runner. At the last water while debating whether to stop at Standing Bear this dude Salt Daddy ran up on me and said "finally, another real ultra lighter." We went to soup trail magic at the gap and hung out til Jackrabbit, Dart, Komerican, and others showed up. Rolled deep into Standing Bear, I got a private room downstairs from Komerican at the treehouse. Did laundry, took a shower, washed my rash. Organized and charged my stuff, went to bed late near 11.
