Morning Snowboard

Half Dome Village, quick hustle up to Clouds Rest. Almost 7,000’ elevation gain in 10.2 miles - 3 1/2 hours. A few photo ops. Run back down 4 miles to the the intersection of Half Dome. Take a hard right, hike 2 miles to the top of Sub Dome. Meet my friends. Up the cables. Photo ops. Leisurely to the bottom. Took all day. Extremely hot, drank lots of water, still wasn’t enough. Wore running shoes rather than hiking boots or trail runners. Only time that felt like the wrong call was at the cables. Still in one piece. Would wear running shoes again. Feet didn’t really hurt. Legs felt good. Only one blister. Will do this again in the fall but figure out how to add some mileage to this trek. Bucket list for sure. Shoot me a message if you have questions about it.
