squeezed it in

Mile 774.7 - First time up Whitney and she did not disappoint. Sharing the sunrise moment up there with all the other hikers was magical. Truly. Bitterly cold but heart was warm.

Overslept so it was a mad dash for sunrise. Very little technical snow up there and I missed the memo to bring the ice axe for the IG photo but that’s ok. 

Acclimated better than expected and felt pretty good on the way up but was wiped after. We napped and ate for a couple hours at crabtree (maybe my fav campground ever) before slogging it into camp under the forester climb. Bighorn plateau was incredible - 360 view of the high Sierra - impossible to capture in photo so didn’t try. Big day tmr.
