A little trail running, until I got in trouble with the rangers. Apparently Abby was well on her way to getting bear mauled. Yikes. The upside (or is it downside) of hiking was I got to watch Pax and Charlie embarrass themselves by debating the best things to ask people on the trail. Prospects included:
- Do you think we're at the elevation where deer turn into Elk? [this made me want new friends]
- telling ppl coming up the lake was "drained for maintenance.." 
- asking ppl to list the seven dwarves (friends were made this way)
PS- @Mads This is all better than asking ppl when the waterfall is "turned off."
