Tripped (while actively thinking “man be careful, don’t trip, high knees”) and kicked a rock with the inside of my foot at mile 1. Got pretty bad by the top, keeping me from trying the traverse to Kachina and Lake Fork peaks. Had to hike/run/skip on the outside on the way down, which is a great way to roll your ankle every few minutes. Probably the worst trail injury I’ve had, so we’ll see how these things heal.
