The first day and most of the night was abnormally hot and made the race very difficult for me. The night was a struggle with a short nap in my dad’s truck camper and a 5 min dirt nap around mile 70. Moving into Saturday morning it finally cooled down a little and the race started to feel better for me. Feet were hurting more than normal with all the issues with sweat which caused rare blisters on my feet and extreme chafing in areas that are not fun to chafe. Over the race was tough with a significant amount of the corse difficulty in the second half and last quarter- this was a lot of elevation change and technical challenges.
