Holy crap! I was really worried about today. Didn’t know what conditions would be like. Didn’t know if the gate was gonna be open. No one has hiked these mountains in over 10 days. But the best case scenario prevailed aside from having to break out the entire range lol. The snow is not too deep. I wasn’t breaking more than a foot of snow, but it did get really wet and heavy. It was hard to navigate along the range at times. But to my surprise, was still able to complete today just shy of the 12 hour mark. Two more hikes left to close out this month. I’m already dreading the next ones.
