Last minute decision to give the record a go when I saw the winds looked favorable. Roped in Jason Strohbehn  to play support and capture some pics 🤙. 
Things started really well and I was 1:45 up but a 50” stop due to tree trimmers was the beginning of the end. I held a small gap with Wahoo’s Strava live timing for another hour, but started to hemmorage time badly on the upper slopes because I’ll be honest, December Pete is lacking a few watts and has a few kg on the waist 😆. Very hard to pace this right with the length and elevation range. 2nd fastest time ever. Still a damn good training stimulus and didn’t quit despite the cramps coming in hard up top. Views so clear on top we could even see Oahu 🤯 
Might give this another crack someday to perfect it, but this climb is a lot nicer at a slower pace too 😆
