First ride in Zwift: 6 x VO2 intervals. Interesting and not too bad except that the application froze and died 3 times while trying to get an HR monitor synced. Eventually gave up. Was nice to be able to choose a workout and kind of let it tick along while I mostly just watched The Gentlemen and glanced over when pedaling got harder or easier to see what was going on. The last hard interval I was watching though, because it definitely felt hard and I was glad to have it done. Such a different feeling after as bike workout. I feel almost fresh, whereas I'd be at least a little beat up doing that kind of effort running. If I had the time, I can see adding a lot of bike volume being a great way to get lots of extra capacity... Not that I have the time.

How do you get to continue just riding, say at a reasonable wattage, once a workout is done?

Interesting that this gave be about 30% more mileage than my watch, also connected to the same trainer. Not sure what that's about. I averaged 138 bpm HR, getting up to high 160s on the 310W intervals but dropping way down on the very very easy recoveries. I think my HR zones are much lower on the bike though.
