Yesterday's freezing rain turned into half a foot of unexpected snow. Roads were too icy for the usual, so I set off into the wilds in snow boots I hadn't worn in two years, but had to abort the mission because my heels were being ripped apart. I'd have been better off leaving the Stabilicers at home and just going with the snow shoes. Finished up with some back-breaking shoveling.
