We were planning on this being a bigger day but we got sidetracked by cliff jumping, hot pools, and cold dipping. The natural hot spring on the side of the trail today was definitely a highlight of the trip so far, made better by that it was next to a cold pool so we could make a real spa day out of it. By the time we made it to the beautiful Hurunui Hut and saw the wood stove, we couldn’t resist staying. I’m not sure if Justin Fisch was more excited about the hot springs or about cutting wood at the cabin. It was a nice reminder not to rush through this trip and to just soak it all in!
