12 miles on day 2, camped at the top of the climb out of picketpost. amazing sunset and sunrise. got hiking right after sunset and was nice chill miles in the am with rolling hills that gradually bring you to the gila river and the lowest point on the azt. afternoon got real hot and exposed. we called thid section the elephant graveyard. had to take a lots breaks in the shade. ran outta water on towards the end of the day.
