“It’s That Time of Year Again,”

Padded heavily by Norway, I noticed my month’s vert was pretty close to 50k. Hopped on the stairmaster for an aerobic threshold test to be sure I’d hit that mark, and ended up with 329 floors for 3,507ft. My heartrate drifted 3.6% and averaged 166bpm in the first half. (On speed 10, which is absurd to me.) That’s up 12bpm from my aet in October 2023 (which was done at speed 5), and technically my threshold is higher because it drifted less than 5%. Really, really gratifying to see such strong evidence of improved aerobic ability. P.S. I’ve gained 5 pounds during that timeframe. Weight and fitness are NOT the same!
