Do NOT drink the half empty bottles of pepsi and lemonade on the side of the highway!!! The pepsi is actually dip spit, and the lemonade is piss, dont be fooled!

Sadly our tour of highway access roads yielded only refuse bottles and no license plates. It is a mark of a true bike tour to bargain with the mapping software for the most direct route. As you can tell in the picture, librulz destroyed my road. I’ll never get to experience the creeper trail, aww man 😭. They sent my arch nemesis, trail name: “team player”, to the hostel before me. That’s how I know the government is out to get me. The breakfast was lovely; a fresh fruit smoothie goes incredibly crazy at this point (I have no appetite for any item available in an american gas station). We also talked to a late sobo lad while we enjoyed our omelets. Sadly he doesnt use strava so it was impossible for our friendship to continue. Definitely stay at Lady Di’s if you are thruhiking the AT or biking transam. The lady has crafted every luxury your weary mind desires: loaner clothes while she does your laundry, a york patty on your pillow, a pre-stamped post card, and much more. The riding was sneaky climby, despite lacking a single categorized climb. We were decently above 100’ per mile for most of the day until we finally began the net descent to roanoke after noon. We observed lots of animal husbandry. We were in awe at the morphology of a pig. I said it looked like a mortadella; a big stick of bologna- with toothpicks for legs bryce added. “I could watch it for hours… its a marvel!” Diesel exclaimed. Those farmers have marvelously crafted a breed of pig to be an absolute meat missile. It is so rotund, tubular, and submarine like. God must be impressed by the way they molded this meat creature. The stream of consciousness is losing cohesion. Also we got free turnovers from a cafe. Also the sun finally returned to warm us, even though the high altitude air remained icy. Also we found a luxury warmshower. The tips of my fingers only brush the glass of the shower doors when i hold my arms out. Spaghetti Bolognese with salad, bread and cookies. The winery to ourselves, bottles uncorked for the night. Diesel is getting giggly already. Follow along @cottage_cheese_boys on insta if you havent already.
