Riding over the maroon sludge of drying raccoon and opossum blood on roanoke road didn’t match via appia, nor did the roanoke river greenway quite match the mighty tiber, but the city still has something to it. I am excited to explore more on foot. It definitely has good croissants, which we were able to snag just before the bakery closed. It is our only concession for the cursed bakery desert i embarked into for this tour. Maybe my weak metabolic aura guided us away from every fresh cinnamon roll around. I also cursed the license plate gods. Only one lame trailer plate was found in the entirety of kentucky and Virginia. Hopefully my departure will yield a mint condition “dont tread on me” virginia plate for Diesel.
