Some small ups and downs into Neels Gap and Mountain Crossing Store - the last stop on a SOBO hike. I had a pizza for lunch, got a bit of resupply and donated some of the warmer gear I had picked up (second hand) to the hiker box as it’s forecast to be much warmer the next couple of days to the finish. 

After lunch, one decent climb up Blood Mountain for the highest point of the AT in Georgia, and then rolled through a few climbs to camp in my tent. No choice tonight, even though rain is forecast, as there’s no shelters nearby. It started raining at about 11 (at least allowing me to pitch and eat dinner in the dry!) and hammered it down all night.
