Pipiwai Trail to Waimoku Falls
The Pipiwai Trail to Waimoku Falls hike takes you through a lush forest to a beautiful and towering waterfall. You’ll cover interesting terrain and pass several small waterfalls before reaching the 400 foot Waimoku Falls. The trail follows an out and back route. There are a number of rolling hills and a few steep sections, so you’re sure to get a good workout on this hike. This hike is one of the most popular on Maui with Strava members. Sliding Sands Trail
The Sliding Sands Trail (also known as the Keonehe’ehe’e Trail) takes you through a multicolored landscape from the summit of the Haleakalā Volcano towards the Haleakalā crater. This trail follows an out and back route and can be extended up to 6+ miles each way. Most Strava members take the truncated route shown here. The trail begins with a long descent, but what goes down must come back up. Because of this difficult return journey, most consider this a hard trail. 13 Crossings Trail
The 13 Crossings Trail is a unique hike which crosses Makamakaole Stream 13 times on its way to a waterfall with a swimmable pool! The trail is not significant when it comes to length or elevation gain, but it involves lots of climbing over wet rocks. Even experienced hikers tend to take this trail at a slightly slower pace. It’s also highly likely that you get wet feet while hiking this trail, so grippy footwear with adequate drainage is strongly recommended. Haleakala Crater Trail
The Haleakala Crater Trail is an epic day hike adventure from the summit of the Haleakalā Volcano through the Haleakalā crater. This hike follows a point to point route along the Sliding Sands trail then onto the Halemau'u Trail. Most of the hike is downhill, but because of its length, most consider this a hard hike. Kahakapao Loop Trail
The Kahakapao Loop Trail is a beautiful wooded hiking trail in the high hillsides of Maui. This loop trail takes you through dense and lush forest and features some nice trail signs which explain the local flora and fauna. Considering its length and elevation gain, most consider this a moderate hike. This hike is popular with local Strava members. Be aware, mountain bikers are also frequently found in this area so you may have some moments where you’ll have to share the trail.

Twin Falls Hike
The Twin Falls Trail is a fun hike along a local road to a set of waterfalls with a swimmable pool. The trail follows an out and back route next to the Hoolawaliilii Stream. Most consider this to be an easy trail. It’s likely that you’ll get wet when hiking here, so grippy footwear with good drainage is highly recommended. Most of the fun is in swimming under the waterfall at the end of the trail, so consider bringing a swimsuit!
